Ethics: Trudeau Foundation Chair Testifies as Part of Foreign Interference Study
Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics - May 9, 2023 : Edward Johnson, founding member and chair of the board of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, testifies as the committee continues its study on alleged foreign interference in Canada's federal elections. The foundation has been under scrutiny due to a donation it received in 2016 from two Chinese businessmen linked to the Chinese government. Alexandre Trudeau, the younger brother of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and a member of the foundation, recently testified before the committee. Former foundation president Pascale Fournier and her predecessor Morris Rosenberg have also testified.
