AFN Special Chiefs Assembly – Resolutions

First Nations chiefs and leaders debate an emergency resolution to support upholding the current oil tanker ban on the B.C. coast. First Nations leaders and delegates from across the country are gathering in Ottawa over three days from December 2-4 to discuss policy issues and set priorities for the coming year. Its annual conference is one of the country’s most comprehensive science and innovation policy forums, bringing together academics and leaders to explore critical issues. The Global Innovation Clusters (GIC) initiative is a federal program created by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. The panelists discuss how Global Innovation Clusters have pivoted to support the priorities of the Government of Canada and examine the original intentions of GIC, evaluating successes, challenges, and lessons learned from the initiative. Stephen Harper's Portrait Unveiling Ceremony

The Right Honourable Stephen Harper was Canada’s 22nd prime minister from 2006 to 2015. Earlier this year, his official portrait was unveiled and added to the House of Commons’ collection. The portrait, painted by famous Canadian artist Phil Richards, depicts Stephen Harper’s life before, during, and after his political career.
