Marc-André Cossette is a seasoned journalist and producer with a decade of experience covering Canadian politics. In addition to hosting L'Essentiel, CPAC's nightly political news program, he is the face of CPAC's live French-language programming.
He thus returns to CPAC after serving as a senior producer and an investigative producer at the Global News parliamentary bureau, where he worked on several of the bureau's most sensitive and complex stories.
Over the course of his career, he has covered three federal election campaigns, including as a reporter in 2019 and as a broadcast pool producer during the 2021 and 2025 campaigns. He has also served as pool producer for several international trips by the Prime Minister of Canada.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Cossette worked with the CBC in a range of roles including at its parliamentary bureau in Ottawa.
